West Coast Double IPA
ABV 8.7% | SRM 3 | IBU 70 | OG 18.0 | FG 2.1
For the third installment of our Freehike Double IPA series, we decided to layer in Citra from Loftus Farms in Washington with Idaho 7 and Chinook hops from Crosby farms in Oregon. The Citra brings sharp lemon notes while the Idaho 7 and Chinook have softer nectarine and pineapple flavors. It was fermented extremely cold, which helps to hide the 8.7% ABV. The result is a clean, hoppy, and resinous IPA.
